This spring, my big project was re-designing my website. I was thinking at the time I wanted to diversify my income streams, and knew I wanted to invite essential oils to my offerings. Mostly because I found it has been a beautiful supplement to my work as a blogging mama.
I’m often burning blends that support focus and I use them for the well-being of my family.
Yep, me and essential oils go way back.
And, not to be weird, but I kind of feel it has helped me gain some super powers.
When I was pregnant, I was enrolled in an aromatherapy program. At the time I didn’t know I was pregnant, and I think from all that smelling of oils, just like how Spiderman got bit by a spider, I got bit by a beautiful smell portal.
Ever since I got this bionic sense of smell, and have found I’m very sensitive. This sensitivity has led me to seek out the simplicity in things (in life, biz and mothering).
Once I decided I wanted to go with Young Living, I was sitting at home, and I was due to get my copy to my web designer in a couple of weeks, and then all of a sudden I looked at my dog, and he was looking at me in a very strange way like he wanted to go out for a walk, and I’m like, okay, it’s a weird time of day, but, whatever. And as I was walking, I saw my neighbor getting passed a plastic bag from this woman I’d never seen before.
And because I’m the nosy neighbor, I’m like, “what’s in the bag”? And it turns out she introduced me, “this is my friend, Reagan and she sells Young Living Essential Oils.”
And this is just a couple of days after I decided to go with Young Living, and I was just like, woah.
What I’ve been loving about this journey so far is that it’s given me an opportunity to connect with friends, old and new. We’re doing lots of community events with the team that’s forming here. And it’s also a way to support other moms who are pursuing the dream of the opportunity to work from home and make their own hours and stay close to the home fires if that’s what they wish.
And essentially (ha-ha) my plan is to teach what I’m learning here on my blog.
I’m not sure what it’s going to look like exactly, perhaps an e-course coming up, most definitely, webinars and just plain old keeping you tabs on where I’m at with this journey.
So far, I’m pretty proud of myself. I hit the first level, I’m a star(!), so I am just going to pass along all I know to those of you who are interested in pursuing something similar.
