Becoming a coach is often a result of having overcome your own challenges as a mom. And that is just what happened with this week’s podcast guest, Diana Prowitt. Having a child with special needs inspired Diana to pursue the path of becoming an IEP Coach. Today she helps families from all over clearly understand and advocate for their child’s needs, collaborate with their IEP team, and get their child the education they deserve.
I’m excited to share with you our conversation around how she discovered this calling, how creating clients through referrals works for her and how she stays motivated to make an impact on the lives of parents when they feel all alone in their special needs journey.

Listen in on our conversation to hear how:
her son’s struggles in school threw her into the world of special education
signing up for an IEP program took things from bad to worse
she started researching and realized the public school program wasn’t a place for her son and kick started her path to advocate for him to be placed in a special program
she found a master IEP coach that offered a program for parents and educators
she decided that this was her calling – to be sure that other parents are spared the struggles she went through on this journey
she helps parents and schools to think outside the box and come up with a solution for the child
she find clients in Facebook groups and how this later turned into building her biz by word of mouth
she created her own eight step process to help her clients
