If becoming a coach in 2019 is one of the SMART goals you set for yourself this year, then you picked a great year to make this dream a reality.
At the New Years party we were at a couple of weeks ago, a friend was mentioning numerology significance behind 2019. Apparently it turns out the upcoming 12 months are going to be pretty epic for creativity and optimism.
How perfect. This being the prime time of the year to set goals, creativity and optimism are defiantly to factors at play here.
You can literally smell the optimism in the air. I went to the gym to take a sauna with a friend and smelled the pheromones containing much optimism in the air. Kinda gross but was getting pretty pumped just standing there the check in area signing up to sit on my slave chick bathing suit-clad butt in the sauna.
I pray for you that your enthusiasm behind the goal to become a coach doesn’t fade like the crowds at the gym this year.
I’m very passionate about incorporating some kind of coaching services to your online business. Especially if you consider yourself a creative. The creative process offers a lot of ways to incorporate in making any of your life dreams come true, your clients’ dreams come true, and in essence, reaching any of the goals that you can create with optimism.
While I can’t coach and train everybody one-on-one, I can offer you a few tips, what you can do to ensure that this is the year 2019, the year of creativity, and optimism that you can finally become a coach.

Create Space
At the beginning of my own becoming a coach journey I intuitively tapped into this. I knew I wanted to turn the page of that big old chapter in my own book of life, from offering my creative outlet of selling my creative wares on Etsy to offering coaching services to moms.
And around this time too there was a massive change in our family’s lifestyle. We sold the hobby farm. We just moved into town and that looked like moving form homeschooling to the kids going to local Waldorf School.
So we had a big garage sale. And I found it almost symbolic that I decided to sell all of my homeschooling curriculum my spinning equipment, my fibers and much of our homesteading books and equipment there. It was part of letting go of that dream. While it’s true a good purge feels real good at times, and moving’s expensive so to help offset some of the costs of that #truthbetold, it was also about releasing the old to make space for the new
And it’s not just about releasing the physical stuff. This can look like creating space by releasing some of the stagnate psychic energy you find yourself surrounded by.
Start hanging with more positive minded folk. Welcome in new energy that’s in sync with your optimism and creativity in creating a new career for yourself.
Create Time
Maybe you are working a full-time job or you have small kids at home. Perhaps traditional nine to five hours are eaten up with other obligations right now. If you want to finally become a coach in 2019, I encourage you to carve out some time.
You may have to get creative here. Start waking up an hour early. Or staying up a little later, while your partner gets Netflix ready.
If you are taking coaching training , that’s when you could do the homework, or if you are bypassing that, you feel comfortable in working one-on-one already, this can look like taking on your practice clients, or working on your sales page.
Whatever it is that’s gonna be the next step towards actually earning an income from your coaching services, create the space within your time constraints you’re currently facing right now.
Work on your mindset.
This is a huge part of becoming a coach. It’s not an easy path. Just like any other entrepreneurial endeavor, it’s going to challenge your mindset, almost on a daily basis. It’s so important that you feed that mindset some good vibes. Reminders that the Becoming a Coach Gods are smiling upon us.
Think of self-help book that that spoke to you at an earlier age when you were more impressionable. One that really resonated with you, and perhaps you haven’t visited in a long time. Maybe now’s a good time to revisit it. I like to think the brain is changing every seven years. With your new brain, revisit something that really spoke to you in your younger years. See how this wisdom within its pages can carry you forward today. Or find yourself a new mindset book.
Become familiar with the coaching process itself.
If you wanna become a coach, you’re gonna have to get comfortable with also being a coaching client. Find yourself a coach. You wanna get familiar with the coaching process. Notice what you works for you and what you enjoy on the client end. Work with a few coaches if you can.
Notice what makes you feel held as you’re getting onboarded into the coaching package. What did you like about that style? Grab some books on a coaching process. Familiarize yourself with good practices. And then, you’re gonna start practicing this in your day-to-day interactions to allow these practices to slowly become habits.
Cool part about being a coach is, I’m actually practicing my communication skills with my friends, and my family all the time. Becoming a coach has really helped me become aware of my listening skills, how to hold space for someone, really discovering what is really alive with them right now, and to encourage them in a really positive manner.
Imagine Yourself as a Coach.
This is gonna allow you to really get specific on how you can literally help your ideal client. You probably have an inkling of who your target market is. Once you start to get familiar with how coaching works, then you could see, “Wow. I can help these people get from point A to point B.” This is gonna make everything so much easier once you’re actually ready to put up your open for coaching business shingle.
Get the coaching tools.
You’ve set yourself up with getting familiar with the coaching process. And now, just like following a recipe, you start adding the ingredients that are the coaching tools. There’s a bit of science here. Once you get the coaching tools, and learn some of the basic rules, then you can have fun, get creative with them, apply this process to your specific niche, and guide them to the results they’re seeking.
If you have heard yourself whispering over the years, “I’m thinking about becoming a coach this year,” then perhaps this is a sign that it’s time to take those steps.
I do train people privately to pickup the coaching process and tools in my VIP experience but that’s not feasible option for everyone. Plus, I can only take on a few private students at a time.
That’s why I created the Creative Bliss Coaching Academy. It is going to be open for just a few days next month. So be sure to get in on the waiting list if you’re interested and you’ll be notified when doors open up again.
If you’re ready to fast forward in your mind’s eye to the first month of the year 2020 and you’re like, “Wow. Cool. Here I am. I created a $3,000 a month income, from a livelihood that I’m super passionate about, that’s aligned with my creative expression and values , and seeing that vision of the world where there’s women supporting each other through all sorts of different life obstacles and struggles and dreams” – then I really do hope you join us.
Here’s wishing you much optimistic creativity and goal reaching this year! xo~
