1. You consider yourself pretty intuitive.
This one is kind of ironic, because if you do consider yourself to be pretty intuitive, you’re probably already tapped into this pointer! If that strong gut feeling gut of yours is telling you to go for it, then that’s probably a good sign. Often too in coaching sessions you will be guiding others to lean into their intuition.
Just happens to work that coaches don’t tell you what to do. We often hold the space and ask the small questions that will connect you with your own intuition to lead you toward your next step your higher-self reveals to you.
2. People confide in you.
Friends are always coming up to you to vent and tell you about their problems. They probably intuitively too to some degree and sense that you’re a great listener, honor confidentiality, and you have an open heart. Maybe some of them even said outloud to you – you’d be an awesome coach! Or therapist. Mind you, totally not the same thing but you’re catching my signs you should be a coach drift.
3. You already have an idea of who it is you want to coach.
You having an inkling of who it is you want to coach one day is a very good sign. If you want to use a marketing buzz word today, say ‘niche’. Because, if you feel called to such a pocket of society then, hey, that’s your niche, or niche, depends how you want to pronounce it.
And you having some clarity on one from the get-go is a great sign because a huge part of coaching business success is carving yourself out a clear niche. Even better yet, a niche within a niche. For instance, I train moms in Mama Bliss Coaching School who want to work with other moms. And even within this pretty defined niche I encourage them to get even more specific.
One student who went through the program carved out a niche for herself as a Mama Bliss Coach for Waldorf moms. Because she is a passionate ex-Waldorf teacher and that’s her tribe- that’s who she knows, that’s who she is.
4. You help yourself to self-help a lot.
If you are a self-help book junkie, or self-help junkie in general, there’s nothing like applying what you learn to helping others. And along the journey of picking up the tools and skills to start coaching others, you get to dive even deeper into your own personal growth journey as well!
5. You’re an action taker.
Hey, Action Jackson! I find my most successful students are the ones that take do what they say they’re going to do. Even if it’s just the most minute step. Because it’s all about taking baby steps every day to grow a really thriving business. And if you just have your heart full of that motivation to really make this happen, you’re just going to rock this.
If you want to explore point number 3 a bit deeper, then you’ll want to check out my current freebie. It offers 50 coaching niches to claim PLUS (this part’s new) a 15 minute mini-audio lesson on discovering your niche called Scratch That Niche.
Enjoy, and I hope reading the above list was like looking in the mirror for you!
