Ever wonder how I came from being a hyper-crafty, creative mom blogging about what she knit up that week to teaching moms how to coach and start an online coaching biz?
Long story short, it came from my desire to connect and support other moms in this sometimes bumpy journey. Long story long, my coaching business, which led to the creation of Mama Bliss Coaching School began as a mommy blog documenting my parenting journey that really kick started with our family’s adventure moving from the big city out to the country and all the homesteading, homeschooling, crafting adventures that ensued.

Despite all the crafty pursuits I was pursuing, blogging was probably my biggest piece of bliss at the time.
I love the act of writing and taking photos throughout our days and, back then, reflecting on which one of these photos best captured what was really stirring my tender mama soul.
I loved how it presented an opportunity to connect with other like-minded moms from all over the world who also felt their souls getting stirred from my sorta musings. Or maybe they were just wondering how I was going to manage to squeeze the word boob into that day’s post. (Seriously, for some reason ‘boob squeeze’ came up as one of my blog’s top key word referrals – whoops!)
So because I couldn’t ease up on my blogging habit, I had to think of ways to monetize this past time.
I began with opening some Etsy shops but quickly learned that at a homesteading, homeschooling, homebirthing, all the homes, mom that that wasn’t very sustainable. Once the kids were in bed I really just wanted to veg out on the couch, eat ice cream watching low brow comedies and grunt ‘funny’ to my husband every few minutes.
Instead, I found myself crafting well into the wee hours just to keep up with orders. And I was craving to craft just for fun again.
I began experimenting with other ways to integrate my love of crafting with my blog. I began offering some e-courses on sewing. Getting warmer. This allowed my business model to be a little bit more scaleable and I got that first taste of the rush that is getting a payment received notification from PayPal after I woke up in the morning.
But, I was still aching though for a deeper connection with my mamas taking my program. That’s when I began exploring what becoming trained as a coach might look like.
And I loved what I saw. This vision of me as a coach.
It tapped into that craving to connect with these moms in my online community, but not only that, my new skills enhanced my own quality of life because I get to coach myself through life’s challenges, my business challenges and also get to coach my kids when they aren’t looking!
Coaching training has helped me in refine my communication skills and my listening capacity. Even though I have degree in Communication Studies, this is a whole other ball of wax. In turn, deepening my relationships and making me a better parent, friend and life partner to good old Craigy.
On a professional level, it has offered me an opportunity to be more open into my clients’ personal stories and then dig up what they’re really struggling with and what they’re truly aching for. I get to hear straight from their mouths what their dreams are, then marrying that with my Mama Bliss Coaching approach which leans heavily on self-care, creativity, values and simplicity, allow their unearthed bliss to lead them.
Working one on one my clients I’m continuously getting inspired to create both free and paid content to get my ideal mamas get from point A to point B.
And this is how Mama Bliss Coaching School came to be. A handful of my coaching clients express their dream to become coaches themselves. So I created this coaching training program with this particular mamas in mind.
So that is what I do today. I get to moms how to coach and start their successful and fulfilling coaching business, too.
And I do that over at Mama Bliss Coaching School. There you an either work with me personally one-on-one, or experience the month to month group learning membership.
