Maya Pagan and I have been on each other’s radar for eons now as we have begun our blogging and creative journeys around the same time. In this week’s Creative Bliss in Life and Biz Podcast episode, I get to chat with her around how by following the comfort and calling of her creative endeavors she has healed and has brought much beauty and support for others in so many different ways.

In 2008 Maya began maya*made, a blog to share her ideas, projects and perspective on parenting and sustainable living. As her life evolved, so has maya*made. Now, with two children taller than her, and three published books, each reflecting a different stage in her story, she’s happy to share the tools she has cultivated to achieve peace and joy in the midst of a full life.
In our conversation you’ll hear how:
Maya has just released her third book – Girl’s Home Spa Lab – because she saw a need for an alternative to what teen girls were seeing on social media. Girls Home Spa makes it inviting and exciting for girls to thrive in this very busy world with self-care. The book includes recipes and activities that are fun for moms and daughters to dive into together.
Being intuitive and by following whatever makes her feel like she’s coming alive, Maya has arrived to what she’s up to today. And it’s all pretty amazing!
Her passion for creating things from recycled material led to her first book- Reinvention. Aptly named for right after the book was released, she suddenly, out of no where, found herself being a single mom.
She found that making things is what had fed her during the healing process. She pulled together a tool box of different things that really worked for her. Bringing head, heart and hands together was the balm to her healing journey that led to her second book –Hope Make Heal
Through this season movement came into place for her as she discovered yoga and everything magically became all about it. She’s now teaching yoga and especially loves working with her clients one on one.
Her epiphany on her son’s 20th birthday made her realize she wants to help other moms to take care of themselves and fill their well. Now she mothers mothers and helps them create spaciousness. with her coaching offering Mother Well.
She came up with this advice for creatives finding their path: Everything you need is already there. And the way to that is by nourishing yourself.
Thank you so much Maya for the wonderful conversation. I can’t wait to hear where your bliss crumbs lead you to next!
