What the bliss is this?
I began my coaching journey way back in 2010.
I started off as a mommy blogger when that scene was just in its infancy. I fell in love with the connections I cultivated there with like-minded moms and knew I wanted to create a business that gave me an excuse to connect with them the live long day while also making enough money to rival that I made as an advertising executive in my past life before I had kids.
I landed on simplicity and creativity coaching at first for it offered tools with the struggles I saw my ideal clients struggling with: mom guilt, perfectionism and feeling disconnected to their passions outside of being a mom.
Moms struggling to find their life purpose again.
My clients started confiding in me that what they wanted to do was to mentor moms in a similar way. So I opened up a coaching training program to teach them how to do just that.
And after teaching hundreds of moms how to coach moms inside Mom Coach School I fell in love with the helping them create coaching clients part.
Lots of growth happens here in the magical land of learning how to sign on coaching clients on the regular by overcoming any latent hang ups you may have around selling.
Today, I continue to help moms live out their life purpose by helping them make their coaching business feel like whatever bliss feels like for them while also making money.
My coaching style is a combination of life, business, creativity and mindset support. It feels like you have a business partner, best friend and cheerleader all rolled into one by your side.
It’s like I’m there beside you virtually massaging your shoulders and whispering reminders in your ear on how fabulous you are, why what you’re selling is so needed in the world and that your next client is just around the corner.
Before I became a coach…
I worked for five years in marketing and advertising after my Communications Studies degree. I quit to teach yoga full-time and start a hemp soap business in preparation for our big move to the sticks.
My husband and I talked about wanting to live more rural on our second date. So we purchased land during our honeymoon and left the big city to live on a hobby farm eight hours away. I sold the soap biz and we went all in on raising cows, chickens and rug rats on seven acres of paradise. This is around the time I was a crafting maniac and sold handmade clothes and yarn on Etsy. All of this led to me finally landing on becoming a creativity and Simplicity Parenting coach. The creative outlet of crafting was so therapeutic and replenishing to me and helped me find balance in my mothering journey.
Embracing simplicity in our life with kids turned our home into an oasis of bliss and productivity that translates beautifully in making my clients’ coaching business abundantly profitable and fun.
Today we moved to what we call town which is really a tiny city of 10, 000 called Nelson, BC. We came for the Waldorf School and stayed for the awesome restaurants.
So yes, I’m a bit of a foodie, total coffee snob, reality tv show watcher and competitive pickleball player. You’ll see alot of pictures of me and my two wiener dogs cuddling together – Angel and Wilbur here on my Instagram feed. My human kids are teens now so the pups are much more cuter to look at these days. Kidding!
