Bliss Beyond Naptime is all about helping you build a profitable mom coaching business. And doing it all between drop-off and pick-up.
It’s about discovering what sets you apart in the sea of coaches so you can more easily attract your dream clients and getting consistent sales.
The bliss begins with coaching yourself first so you can gain the clarity and commitment to your specific ideal client and her help her in her unique struggles.
My core philosophy is also all about releasing perfection and celebrating you in all your true glory. This one simple act makes life and biz SO much more blissful and balanced.
And latte. Oh yeah. Lots and lots of latte.
And who else is with me in holding the belief that nothing tastes more delicious than being your own boss and working toward your dreams?
I know together we can meld your expertise, passions and gifts together to find your niche, and with that, a coaching practice that delivers a dependable monthly income AND allows you to stay close to the home fires.
Which, in my opinion, is the best work commute ever.
How the bliss began
Being a hyper-crafty mama, I began blogging in 2006 as a way to participate in sew and knit-a-longs. Around this time I began selling my art yarn and handmade clothes on Etsy but soon discovered making stuff from scratch for sale online wasn’t very sustainable. I wanted to preserve some of my crafty energy for making my kids matching outfits.
So I created a couple of online sewing courses that were selling while I slept and that’s pretty much the first time I heard that tinkle bells sound in my head when someone somewhere in the world discovers a path that melds a passion AND a sustainable business model together. (I checked. It’s not tinnitus.)
But I wanted to connect with my readers and customers on a more intimate level still. And get nice and close to hear more life purpose discovery ca-chings. So I became a life coach.
I knew I wanted to serve moms, creative moms like me, so I created a coaching approach to help moms in way that resonates with their soul and world-view.
Soon my long term clients were voicing their wish to coach in this way too. For six years I trained moms to become coaches themselves. Because a dream world to me includes coaches for all the mamas. Today, I continue with that vision by helping life coaches who work with moms home in on their niche so they can most effectively make use of their coaching talents, time and effort to grow a biz that works sustainable and while the kids are at school.
Before there was the Mama Bliss of working as a coach…
After getting my Communications Studies degree, for five years I worked in advertising at two different ad agencies.
The first one was a very small operation. It consisted of me and two guys helping hair transplanters and Lasik eye surgeons sell their craft with giant billboards and on hold ads.
I did everything there from approaching cute bald guys at free pancake breakfasts to be our ‘before’ models, to writing and producing on-hold commercials in recording studios in which I got to utter, with a straight face, ‘say it again. but this time with more of a smile in your voice’. Loved that part.
Then I did corporate recruiting advertising that’s not as funny to write about.
I eventually quit the martini drinking and shoulder pads wearing to marry my soulmate, teach Ashtanga yoga full-time before experiencing two beautiful home births. First of our daughter, Edie and then our son, Kale, four years later.
And how about you?
I would love to hear about you and what you’re hoping to explore outside of this delicious pajama party called being an awesome mama.
